I’m an expert at decision fatigue

I can’t lie.

I Co-own the virtual assistant company Home Service VA .com and I STILL fight decision fatigue every day all the time.

Having an assistant doesn’t make all my ADHD symptoms go away.

It doesn’t stop the self sabotage, procrastination, disassociation, or even the external forces in my life.

It doesn’t completely rid me of the mental load or emotional weight that I carry.

Every day there is a lot of work I have to do on myself in order to be a good human, leader, boss, mother, wife, and friend.

I usually feel like I’m failing someone, even if they don’t see it that way.

I’m hard on myself.

I expect a lot.

But I’m not failing.

I have history on my side.

I might give in to despair on occasion.

I’m not always a great leader.

Sometimes I’m not even a good leader.

Some days my body and my brain tell me I have to STOP, so I do.

But the thing about me is I ALWAYS get up, dust myself off, and move forward. It might be 5 minutes later, or it might take a few days.

But I move forward.

I’m just moving forward in inches.

It feels painfully slow sometimes.

But I keep doing it.

So, yes-

Get a general or executive assistant!

But don’t expect that person to change your life.

Only you can do that.
